I have brunched with intelligent women and played with a baby in the sun. I have eaten my vegetables and exercised vigorously. The house is clean, and I, sipping ice water, am clean. Anna Karenina and Madame Bovary have taught me that I am not bored, but that when I am bored, my anger and yearning are perfectly understandable. There are four people whom I would like to make love me more as I write. I have bought tea. I am sometimes happy, sometimes sad. I have nothing, silly head, to relay.
