First, a clarification of my last post: I did not mean "romance" in the let's-preserve-mystery and adventure sense of romance--the "late imperial romance" (McClure) of Conrad and Kipling. Nah. I meant falling in love with another human being.
Second, I am reading the Brothers Karamazov; it makes me gleeful.
And finally, there are a variety of discourses that I want to be able to argue about with grace and composure by the end of my formal education. The inarticulate drivel that surfaces now is unacceptable, especially given the quality of my teachers:
1 Feminism
2 Literature
3 Postmodernism/Theory
4 Evangelical pentacostalism
5 The free market
